Well I am back at it again. Sorry it has been so long since my last post. I have been trying to learn to type quicker. It is hard when your fingers can only do one key at a time. Well I am almost four weeks old and boy am I living the life. We have had people to the house constantly for my first three and a half weeks. Mommy and daddy said that these people are called "family". I don't know what that means but I sure do like it! I was held nearly every second until they left, then all of a sudden I am put in my "special place". I keep letting mommy and daddy know that the only special place for me is to be cuddled and paid attention to. Daddy says I am already spoiled. . .I don't know what that means, but I assume it means cute. Because I am definitely cute, people say I look just like my brothers.

Speaking of brothers, Mason started Preppy - K Kindergarten today. Mommy and daddy are torn because they wish he could stay with them forever, but at the same time they know he needs to continue to grow up and mature. Luke is sad that his brother is gone 5 days a week from 8 to 11:20, but he is finding a way to cope by talking all the time. Daddy says that Luke is a really good talker. Probably came from all his experience talking on the website early on. I hope that same thing happens for me. Well, I got to go, I better start crying or they will think it is O.K. to not hold me for a few minutes.

We are proud to announce the arrival of me, Dane Benjamin Conan. As the youngest in the family I have been given the responsibility of taking over the family website! I came on 8-7-8, and yes we know one day from the 8-8-8 that daddy was hoping for in a twisted way! I was 8 pounds and 2 ounces, 21". Mommy and daddy went in at 11:30 PM on the 6th and the hospital people almost sent them home!! They made mommy walk from 1:15 to 3:00 and then the contractions got so bad she almost had to have me naturally!! Crazy huh? Finally she had an epidural for the last 30 minutes. Then I came at 5:07!! I look just like my brothers mommy and daddy say!

About my name. . .Daddy said that three weeks ago he saw a truck in the Starbucks drive through of someone who had just been married Dane and Kathy. He looked like a cool surfer dude and since I am their only So Cal kid they thought it would be "cool" to give me the name. It means God is my judge. Great, like I didn't know that already. . .thank God for Jesus. Benjamin is Jacob's youngest son and I guess I am mommy and daddy's youngest and daddy said he is preaching through Jacob's life right now, and I guess that is how Luke got his name too!

Mommy is doing great. In fact, she was ready to go home at 10:00 AM. After some convincing she had me in arms on the way to our house around 5:30 PM. The nurse said it was the first time anyone that they knew of had gone home the same shift that they checked in for. She is now at home relaxing, feeding me, playing wii fit and glad to be 10 pounds lighter and losing more every day!

Daddy's church is going great. Mommy and daddy love the people there and they love them back. They tell me there are lots of grandmas and grandpas, aunts and uncles and cousins there for me and the other two dudes. The church is already growing and daddy is taking a lot of the lessons he has learned over the last 6 years and putting them into practice!

Luke is doing great. He keeps saying "my baby. . .my baby Dane" every time he sees me.

Mason is doing well. He started playing tee-ball this year and will begin preppy-k pre-school next year at Cleveland Elementary School.
