Day 2 - Wilsonville to Seaside
We started off this morning in the Wilsonville, OR Camping World parking lot with Mason waking up at 5:45 ready to go, we tried to bring him into our bedroom, but he wasn't having it! So, Mason and daddy bought a Starbucks internet membership. We figured we probably wouldn't go to far out of Starbucks range!
From there daddy went to put the van on the tow dolly and discovered that the tire on the right side was already bald on the inside!! So, we went to a little shop in Hubbard, OR where a father and son welding team gave me the news on the tow dolly. They said they could fix it and that the van should be fine on it!! So, we left it with them and will pick it up in a few days.
Michelle followed me for an hour and forty five minutes to the beach. We had sunshine for part of the day, well at least overcast without rain, then at dinner time it started raining. We are staying our first night as "members" in a campground. It is pretty rough, the cable has more channels than at home! Mason has a playground and tomorrow we are going in the pool!! Did I mention that we only paid $8/night!?!?!?!?
We did have one exciting thing happen in Seaside. As we were walking back from the beach four young Hispanic men were at a stop sign, one got out of the car and the policemen in the car behind him yelled for him to get into the car. Next thing you know there are four Seaside Police cars right next to us and they are telling us to get out of the way. It was crazy. . .and we got way out of the way, sorry no pictures we were trying to avoid potential bullets.
