Day 68-69 June 3-4 Wyoming (Yellowstone)

Well the adventure continues!  Today we got up (mommy even more sick) and drove into Yellowstone park.  What we didn't know is that the road we were coming in on was under construction.  Daddy said it was like driving uphill in a gravel pit for 10 miles.  It was quite bad, so bad the TV fell out and almost hit me and mommy.  She and daddy caught it though.

Mommy has remained sick, she caught daddy's cold.  But, she was a little smarter than daddy, when she got a soar throat she went to the doctor at Old Faithful, actually he was a PA.   He took a couple looks at her and found out she has strep throat, so she has some antibiotics and hopefully will feel better soon.  The doctor said daddy probably has it too, but he waited so long the antibiotics wouldn't do him any good.  Sleeping at 7800 feet was no treat either.  All of us are a little sick and we found it tough to breathe as it is let alone with the elevation working against us.

We loved Yellowstone we saw so many beautiful animals and geysers and canyons.  There is really too much to list.  We parked in an RV park and then toured in the car.  Mommy's favorite has definitely been the animals, Mason and her have been looking for Bison (a.k.a. Buffalo) the whole time, we saw quite a few of them and even saw a little Bison baby.  On our first day we drove and saw some close to the road, mommy asks daddy to back up so of course he did.  And when we backed up the Bison crossed right in front of us!!  We got some really cool shots.  We also saw some elk up close and of course deer.  Daddy said it is really cool how no one is in a hurry here.  Everyone tries to not miss anything, people will wait for hours to spot a bear, did I mention we also saw a black bear.

We also saw geysers including Old Faithful and the Bee Hive geyser.  The Bee Hive went off 10 minutes after we arrived and it was really cool it lasted longer and shot higher than Old Faithful.  Daddy made us walk 3 miles to see this pool called 'morning glory' it was really cool.  Daddy loved the colored pools the best, the Saphire Pool was cool too.  Both were really blue.  We also drove down and saw the Yellowstone Grand Canyon, it has a river with waterfalls running through it, the weather couldn't have been better.  We are headed to the Tetons on Monday and then will be coming back a little early!
