Day 62 - May 28 Sunday in South Dakota
We have had quite a couple of fun days here in South Dakota! Yesterday I told you about all the rummaging and the races at night. Daddy said that they had sprint cars there. They are the one's with the huge fins that look almost like sails. Daddy said they were really fast! Mason said they were "too loud." Even with the earplugs and all his experience with monster trucks it was too loud. Daddy said it was a dirt track and after Mason went home a little earlier than the rest of the guys (Brian and Jacob) had a great time.
Today we woke up and got ready for church with Brian, Vanessa and Jacob. But, when we got there we discovered that church started at 10:30 and not 9:30, daddy's mistake. Church was nice in fact it was one of the first one's I have stayed awake through, they did tell me I was in the "cry" room, I am already trying to please mommy and daddy.
After church we drove over to Madison, SD to visit my only living great grandma, great grandma Haak who is in the hospital. She was having some health problems, but should be home this week. I got a chance to meet many of my relatives, it was really fun. I have so many great aunts and second cousins! Mommy and daddy were so happy to see everyone. Aunt Bev even brought Mason a monster truck!! We had a great time and they are quite a special group. Grandma Blondell has four sisters and a brother. 3 of the 4 sisters were there to meet me. I felt quite special! Mason enjoyed "exploring" the hospital.
Daddy says Auntie Vanessa has been great, she spends a lot of time holding me and loving on me. Daddy has enjoyed the help, Jacob has been a great playmate for Mason. Daddy says it has been a nice "break", but I am a little confused, I thought that is what happened to the motorhome.
After that we watched my cousin Jacob race. He did quite well in the little go-karts. he raced in a little higher class than normal and it was quite fun watching him. I couldn't see much from my "special place" in the car seat. But, everyone else seemed happy.
We see Jenny and Josh Klinkhammer (mommy's really good friends) Monday! They are building their very own house!
