Day 59-61 May 25-27th - Huron, SD
We started our journey by hitting the road and cruising over to Brookings, SD. Mommy went to school there at SDSU that is South Dakota State for you west coasters! Her and Wade Morlock share the distinct honor of being Jackrabbits!! Mason, mommy, daddy and me all had a good time running around and of course Mason got a cool Jackrabbit shirt while I got nothin'!
Then we hit the road and cruised over to Auntie Vanessa and Uncle Brian's place. Vanessa got off work early and met us here. We went to pick up my only 1st cousin Jacob from his mom's house in Woonsocket, SD. No, that is not a spelling error. We parked the motorhome in there driveway, it actually fit right in with the yard and neighborhood. There is a bird's nest right outside mommy and daddy's window.
Brian and Vanessa have been doing there best to introduce us to South Dakota culture. We are going to the car races tonight and seeing Jacob do some go-kart racing tomorrow evening. Actually, I just found out that once again I will be left behind for the races! Tour de Luke my hiney!!
Today they tried to introduce us to some good old fashion rummage saling. Every Saturday they get up and go hit the sales treasure hunting. They plan out a route and know within a couple of minutes if they want anything from the places they are visiting. Daddy was done after the fist sale, but he was a good sport and stuck it out for 4 more sales. After that he woke me up and told mommy that we needed to head back because I needed feedin'.
Brian is helping daddy with a couple of motorhome projects. Daddy went through and tuned the generator today (getting ready for it to run in the heat as we go down the road to keep Mason and myself cool with the AC.) Vanessa is cooking up some really good meals which of course I get second hand. Mommy is starting to get a little sick too. Daddy is not 100% yet, but he is getting grumpier. . . I mean better each day.
