Day 52-55 May 19-21
Well we have had quite and eventful few days! (Daddy told me to tell you he put pictures on Day 50-51 page if you would like to check them out.
On Saturday we went into "the city" as daddy calls it. I think he just calls it that to sound like a local. Mommy said he used to live here or something. If you ask me this is a pretty nice place. We got to ride a really cool train that dropped us off right in the middle of the jungle. I would suggest they call it the jungle instead of the city.
There were lots of people everywhere. I kept waiting for things to lighten up, but the sun was out and so were the people. I couldn't believe how tall the buildings were either. They were enormous! Daddy says his neck always hurts after visiting big apples. If you ask me you should eat them rather than visit them.
Mason got to play in this place called central park. They had a really cool brand new place to play. And you wouldn't believe it we were the only ones there! What are you kidding, forget 'bout it! It was packed with kids. There were more strollers in our one park than I have seen in my whole life. It was sunny and it was Saturday.
Mommy was really excited that there was a street fair going on. Daddy kept saying it was a glorified "flea market." We stopped and ate pizza at Ray's, it was good, but daddy said it wasn't quite as good as he was expecting. Mommy wanted some cheesecake and we got her some and then ran and caught the train home. Daddy was especially excited to get on the train home!
Today we got up and went to church. It was really neat, both mommy and daddy had a great time! They said the sermon was great and they enjoyed worshipping the risen king with Matt. Brandi and Arden stayed home because Arden wasn't feeling well.
After that we hit the road and headed back home, we should be in Washington in two weeks or so after stops to visit Mommy's friends and family in South Dakota (and greater Midwest) and then visit Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons.
We had a little adventure today. Daddy decided that he was going to drive to get us Cheesesteak sandwich's. So, we drove the motorhome and car through the tiny streets of Philadelphia to Pat's and Geno's. Daddy had a sandwich from each to decide once and for all which one he liked better. There was a street fair going on but somehow daddy still found a parking place and he didn't hit anyone! He did have a little sweat on the brow though, wish we could have gotten some pictures, but it was too scary for all of us to stop!
As to the answer to the question, it is hard to say. Daddy gets Pizza Cheesesteaks wit' wiz (with onions and cheese wiz). Geno's is the nicer package it comes neat and rolled, Pat's comes pretty messy with meat and wiz everywhere. As for daddy, he says that they are both REALLY GOOD. But, if he had a gun to his head he would take Pat's.
After that life was boring, we just drove for a few hours and we are staying in something called "Ammish" country. Penn State is only 15 miles from where we are at, kind of fun, but not really. We will keep heading west tomorrow. Daddy finally got around to pulling the furnace apart and discovered that the blower does need to be replaced, so we will only have one squeaky furnace night left (hopefully).
