Day 46-48    May 13-15

We have had a great time in DC.  There is so much to write about that I won't be able to capture it all.  I think this has been daddy's favorite part of the trip, at least it sure seems that way.  He gets us up at 7:00 in the morning and doesn't get us home until 8:00 at night.  Mason and I have let him know numerous times (each in our own similar yet unique way) that we are tired.

We went to the Air and Space Museum on Saturday.  Daddy says it was really cool and would have been even more exciting for all of us if we hadn't visited Houston.  They have a lot of cool stuff in both place for the space side, but a lot of overlap as well.  But he really liked it, personally I slept through most of it.  The airplanes were cool.  Mason really liked them.  He kept pointing at all the one's hanging from the sky (ceiling for big folk).

On Sunday we got up early and had a tour of the west wing of the white house.  As it turns out not very many people have been in the west wing.  We got to go because of a friend of uncle Paul's who works there, Eryn Witcher, but she is now mommy and daddy's friend too, in a big way.  We got to see everything except the situation room, it was all really cool.  We saw the oval office and even got to wave to the president as he got off the helicopter.  We were all a little disappointed when he didn't come over and shake hand, but it was just cool to see it.  Mason of course was more interested in the helicopter and throughout the next two days wanted to see "helicopter."

After that daddy dragged us over to the American History Museum.  I of course slept, daddy says that he slept through a lot of history classes and is making up for "lost time."  I don't know how you lose this time thing, but it strikes me one should try to hold on to it.  The museum was pretty cool though.  Daddy and mommy said they were inspired by our country's history.  It made him want to be better person and American.  I think he and mommy are pretty swell, but I have a few improvements that will help him though, one idea is milk on demand in the car seat.  I told him he would be rich.

Today we saw the capital and met with daddy's cousin Paula and her family.  We had a blast and we went to a concert of one of their kids and to "cheeburger, cheeburger" for dinner.  Guess what mommy, daddy and mason had?  That's right hot dogs. . .just kidding.  It was a good day and it is 10:00 and I am writing still writing.  We were going to watch 24 with them, but that really would have been too much for Mason and me.
