April 13 - Maundy Thursday/ Day 16 in our journey
Today was a cooker! We traveled to the desert today. It was so hot that half way there when we stopped at In-and-Out Burger for lunch we had to start up the generator so we could run the big air conditioner. One sign said it was 89 degrees. I was so warm that I slept almost the whole way there.
We pulled into Desert Hot Springs at 4:00 and set up camp right next to the kid pool area, putt putt golf and putting green. Turns out the spa isn't quite as nice as we thought, but they have massage and special "spring fed" pools.
We then cruised to downtown Palm Springs, which was an interesting mixture of people. They happened to be setting up a street fair, so we cruised around and then came back and had dinner and Mason and mommy went in the pool while daddy and I talked to some older folks. Mason evidently had forgotten how much he liked the pool because he didn't want to let go of mommy's neck.
